    “I Can’t Afford To Buy”

    June 29, 20261 min readtenant2owner Team

Most times when someone tells me they can't afford to buy, what they actually mean is they can't afford to buy the house they're picturing, in the area they're picturing, right now.

A lot of tenants I speak to are already paying more in rent than they'd pay on a mortgage for a comparable property. The lender's affordability test is stricter than a landlord's referencing, yes, but the monthly outgoing is often lower, not higher.

Before you decide you can't, find out what you actually can.

Run the numbers on our Rent vs Buy Calculator. It takes the guesswork out.
